The first part of enrolling for your SSL Certificate is to generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR). CSR generation is wholly dependent on the software you use on your webserver. For guidance in generating a CSR, select your webserver software from the list opposite after reading the following general points.

General Points to remember before creating your CSR

The Common Name field should be the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the web address for which you plan to use your Certificate.  For example, an SSL Certificate issued for yourdomain.nhs.uk will not be valid for www.yourdomain.nhs.uk.  If the web address to be used for SSL is www.yourdomain.nhs.uk, ensure that the Common Name submitted in the CSR is www.yourdomain.nhs.uk

Alternatively, if you are ordering a wildcard certificate, you may generate a CSR with the Common Name: *.yourdomain.nhs.uk (using an asterisk at the beginning to support multiple subdomains e.g. secure.yourdomain.nhs.uk   private.yourdomain.nhs.uk  etc.)

Webserver Compatibility

Trustis Healthcare SSL Certificates are compatible with all popular webserver software. If your software does not appear on the list, please contact support@trustis.com with full details of your software and we will contact you with further instructions.
